Oranhill Dental Suite

Oranmore Endodontics are the first and longest established endodontic practice in the West of Ireland. The dental practice at No. 1, Cloonarkin Drive, Oranmore was originally set up in 1993. The practice was limited exclusively to endodontics in 2000.

In October 2007, we moved the practice from 1 Cloonarkin Drive, to a purpose built state of the art facility, just down the road, Oranmore Endodontics, Old Limerick Rd, Oranmore.

Meet the Team

Dr Paul McCabe

Paul graduated from UCC in 1987 and spent four years in general practice in the UK. He completed an M.Sc in Restorative Dentistry in University of Manchester in 1992. In 1993, he set up his own dental practice with his wife, Lorna, in Oranmore, Co. Galway with an interest in Restorative dentistry. He completed the M.G.D.S., R.C.S.I. in 1997.

In 2000, he limited his practice in Oranmore to Endodontics. He completed the M.Sc. D. in Endodontics in Cardiff in 2004 and was appointed on honorary lecturer to Cardiff University that same year and is still in that position. This involves lecturing to both the undergraduate and postgraduate students on endodontic related topics.

He is a referee for the International Endodontic Journal since 2004 and is still active in that regard. He is on the GDC Specialist register in Endodontics and a certified member of the European Society of Endodontology.

He has several publications in peer reviewed journals and has lectured widely in Ireland and the UK most recently at the BSRD meeting in Cardiff.

In 2009 he was appointed the position of Assistant Editor of the International Endodontic Journal and is responsible for the Clinical section. He has also been appointed a tutor for the distance learning programme in postgraduate dental studies at Cardiff University. He has recently contributed two sessions to the e-Learning for Healthcare in the UK (Dentistry) which should go ‘live’ very soon.

Dr Eoin Ó Móráin

Eoin graduated with honours from Trinity College in 2013. While studying at the Dublin Dental Hospital he was awarded the prestigious Foundation scholarship.

He spent 5 years in general practice and during this time completed his diploma in primary care dentistry (PDC RCSI) and membership of the faculty of dentistry (MFDS RCSI) examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has also completed several restorative courses including the Tipton restorative course.

While in general practice he developed a keen interest in endodontics and in 2017 enrolled in a 3 year masters program in endodontics with Kings College London and graduated with a distinction.

He now limits his practice to endodontics.

He is a member if the Irish Dental Association, the Irish Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.

Outside of dentistry Eoin likes to spend time with his family in the great outdoors.

Dr Neil Bermingham

Neil joined Oranmore Endodontics in 2024. After graduating from UCC Dentistry in 2017, he worked in the southeast of Ireland in general dentistry with a special interest in endodontics. For the last three years, Neil has limited his practice to endodontics. He completed his Masters in Endodontics at King’s College London in 2023.

Thoughtful in his approach to problem-solving, Neil examines all aspects of a clinical situation and prioritizes effectively communicating these options to his patients.

Outside of dentistry, Neil enjoys being outdoors with his family, particularly golfing, cycling, and swimming.’

Dr Ashraf Amin

Ashraf graduated with honours from SCU, Egypt in 2012, then he spent 6 years working and teaching in the dental university hospital, where he completed 3-year residency programme in restorative dentistry.

Ashraf’s private practice experience has been highlighted by a special focus on restorative dentistry, particularly in endodontics and the restoration of endodontically treated teeth. He acquired memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), earning both MFD (Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery) and MGDS through rigorous examinations. Complementing his clinical expertise, Ashraf pursued and attained a master’s degree in healthcare management.

Ashraf worked in private general practice before limiting his practice to endodontics. He is finishing a 3-year master’s programme in endodontics in King’s college London. He is an active member of the British Society of Endodontists, regularly attending workshops and conferences to stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in endodontics.
